HD and 1080p can suit many screens. A 4K edition may provide more detail on compatible equipment, but the service, source, app and plan all matter. A 4K television alone cannot make every stream a native 4K source.
A series can look different between episodes
A change in lighting, film grain or scene complexity can affect the picture without meaning that you selected a different resolution. Compare the player’s setting rather than judging only one dark scene.
