Choose tracks for the episode you are playing
Original language on a WatchUG title page describes the work. It does not enumerate every dub or subtitle offered by each service. Open the audio and subtitle controls on the viewing edition itself.
For a series, check again after changing seasons if the options differ. A preferred track on one season is not proof that every season carries the same language choices.
Captions are useful beyond translation
A caption track may identify sounds, music and speakers as well as words. Audio description is a separate spoken aid for visual events. Use the option that helps you follow the story, rather than assuming all tracks in one language do the same job.
Subtitle appearance controls depend on the player and device. Where available, choose a size and background that remain readable during both dark interiors and bright outdoor scenes.
When subtitles are doubled or delayed
Two layers of text can mean that both the device and player captions are active. Keep the layer you want and turn off the other. For a delay, test another available track or confirm the selected edition.
A fixed delay is different from text that gradually drifts farther from the audio. If the player offers timing controls, adjust them there. The catalog cannot retime a video running in another app.
